We offer safe, effective laser and IPL treatments for a range of vascular concerns on the face and body. These treatments are carried out by our experienced laser specialist doctor using medical‑grade vascular lasers and IPL designed to target visible blood vessels and red lesions with precision.
CONDITIONS WE TREAT
Thread veins (face only)
Fine red or purple vessels commonly found around the nose and cheeks.
Cherry haemangiomas
Small, bright red “dots” on the body caused by clusters of blood vessels.
Spider naevus
A central red spot with small vessels radiating outward. Commonly seen on the face in children and may also appear during pregnancy. These lesions respond very well to treatment, with improvement often seen after just 1–2 sessions.
Venous lake (lip)
Dark blue or purple vascular lesions typically found on the lip. These benign lesions can be safely treated with our Diode laser, helping to reduce their appearance and restore a more even lip colour. Improvements are often noticeable quickly, after one or two sessions with minimal downtime.
Redness / flushing
Often linked to rosacea and sun damage, causing persistent redness, sensitivity, and flushing of the skin.
Laser treatment can help calm and improve these symptoms, with benefits often noticeable even after the first session.
A course of 2–4 sessions is typically recommended for rosacea, while sun damage may require 1–2 sessions for visible improvement.
We use clinically effective, medical-grade laser and IPL technology, which is more advanced than systems typically found in beauty salons.
Leg veins
Small visible veins on the legs that can appear red, blue, or purple and can be safely treated to improve skin clarity and overall appearance. We do NOT offer micro-sclerotherapy for leg veins.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The number of treatments needed, will depend on the site and the extent of the affected area. Small veins on the face normally disperse just after 1-2 laser treatments at 6-week intervals. IPL may take 4 sessions at 2-week intervals.
Depending on the type of light treatment used, some mild stinging or burning may be noticed during the procedure, and the area treated may feel hot for roughly 15 minutes after treatment. However, during treatment the skin is cooled, which reduces this stinging sensation and a cooling gel is applied afterwards.

The light from the laser penetrates the tissue and is absorbed by either the blood when treating vascular lesions or the melanin when treating pigmented lesions, damaging them. The body’s natural healing processes then removes the injured, pigmented tissue giving the skin a more even and youthful appearance.
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) uses a broad spectrum of light to target pigmentation and redness in the skin, working in a similar way to laser treatment. At Kent Skin and Laser Clinic, we use clinically effective, medical-grade IPL technology, which is significantly more advanced than lower-powered systems often found in beauty salons.
Many patients notice visible improvement after just 1–2 sessions. While lower-grade IPL treatments may require multiple sessions with limited results, medical-grade IPL allows for more consistent and effective outcomes when performed by experienced practitioners.
