We are a doctor‑led skin and laser clinic with deep roots in Canterbury. This is where we first founded the clinic in 2002, and after more than 20 years of caring for patients here, we are returning to continue the work we believe in.
Our focus has always been the same: safe, evidence‑based treatments delivered with warmth, honesty, and genuine medical expertise. As experienced doctors with specialist training in dermatology, laser treatments, and aesthetic medicine, we provide clear advice and personalised care for every patient.
Many of our laser specialists and aesthetic practitioners have worked with us for years, offering exceptional skill and continuity. Although the previous corporate owner chose to close the clinic, we are proud to reopen at the same premises and restore the high standard of care our community knows and trusts.

Co‑Founder & Medical Director
Specialist in dermatology, skin surgery and laser medicine with over 20 years of experience at this clinic.
Dr Mark was the Senior Consultant Dermatologist at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust for 18 years before founding The Canterbury Skin and Laser Clinic in 2002. His principal clinical interest is the management of skin cancer, particularly using surgery and laser applications. He is known for his meticulous surgical technique and the consistently excellent cosmetic outcomes he achieves for his patients.
He also acts as the clinic’s Laser Protection Supervisor.
Appointments with Dr Mark are never rushed. He takes the time to explain procedures clearly, make a personalised assessment, and agree a treatment plan that feels right for you.

Co‑Founder & Clinical Lead
Expert in laser treatments and aesthetic medicine, recognised for her warm, patient‑centred approach and commitment to evidence‑based care.
Dr Alice is a previous winner of the Silver Award for Aesthetic Practitioner of the Year at the Kent Health and Beauty Awards, where the clinic also won the Gold Award. She has many years of experience providing laser and cosmetic injectable treatments and regularly attends masterclasses and conferences in the UK and abroad to stay at the forefront of the field.
Her ethos is to offer honest medical advice and deliver the most pleasing results in a cost‑effective way. With her background in clinical dermatology and extensive experience in cosmetic treatments, she provides expert skin assessments and complete aesthetic solutions tailored to each patient.
& Healthcare Assistant
I have always worked within the healthcare industry, including roles as a healthcare assistant in a hospital and deputy manager of a care agency, before joining Kent Skin and Laser Clinic. I enjoy both the clinical and administrative aspects of my role and particularly value building strong relationships with patients.
Outside of work, I am a wife and proud mum to two boys. I love spending quality time with my family, including long walks with our dogs, Dexter and Oakley, beach days, and travelling to new places.
Aesthetician
Julia joins Canterbury Skin and Laser Clinic with over 22 years of experience in the laser, skin and beauty profession, having previously managed busy clinics in Chiswick and Perth, Australia.
With more than 20 years of hands‑on laser experience, she provides laser hair removal, vascular laser therapy, laser tattoo removal, IPL, and a wide range of facial treatments including chemical peels and microneedling.
Julia is passionate about skincare and has in‑depth knowledge of ranges such as SkinCeuticals, Medik8, Biretix and Heliocare. As a fully qualified beauty therapy teacher, she brings both expertise and education to her treatments.
Outside the clinic, Julia enjoys yoga, running, the gym, and spending time with her family, friends and her little dog, Albert.
Charlotte brings over 15 years of experience in the beauty industry. She is highly customer‑focused, with a background as both an aesthetic therapist and spa manager. She has also worked as a Beauty Lecturer, training the next generation of aesthetic therapists.
Charlotte provides a wide range of skin and laser treatments, including laser hair removal, RF skin tightening, microdermabrasion, chemical peels and microneedling etc. She is particularly enthusiastic about the skin scanner, which she uses to create bespoke treatment plans.
Outside work, Charlotte enjoys time with her family, friends and two young children. She also loves running and reading whenever she gets the chance.
Aesthetician
Amber has several years of experience working in a laser and skincare clinic, providing treatments including laser tattoo removal, laser hair removal, IPL skin rejuvenation and acne management.
She has a strong interest in the science behind skincare and enjoys understanding the evidence supporting ranges such as SkinCeuticals, Medik8, Obagi and Biretix. Working closely with the dermatologists, Amber helps deliver a holistic approach to acne, sun damage and pigmentation using microneedling, chemical peels, LED Dermalux therapy and laser treatments.
In her spare time, she enjoys running, spending time with friends and family, and getting lost in a good book.
I love seeing patients happy and supported throughout their journey, and I am always eager to learn new things and develop my skills.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my two children and have a real passion for cooking.
