The Nlite laser has been described as “the most significant advancement in acne treatment for over twenty years” and “the most important thing is that it has a prolonged effect’’... Indeed, four out of five patients noticed significant improvement in their acne and a quarter of the patients reported cure of the condition. Acne can also leave scars which are permanent and are easier to prevent than to treat. Acne scarring can be improved by several methods, including Nlite to stimulate collagen production, laser resurfacing, dermal fillers, subscision, punch excision & Dermal Roller treatment.
Medical microdermabrasion helps improve the texture and appearance of the skin using a stream of fine micro particles which partially removes the outermost layer of the skin and stimulates new cell growth, making the skin far smoother with a more youthful glow. It deeply exfoliates the skin surface to enhance the result of the laser.
Chemical Peels can be classified as superficial peels or medium depth peels depending on the chemical solution applied to the skin surface. They remove the outer layers of the skin to variable depths. Superficial chemical peels are helpful in reducing oiliness, unblocking pores, and reducing blackheads. Medium depth chemical peels can help reduce the appearance of acne scars.
Derma Roller treatment and Fractional Laser Resurfacing treatment are used in the treatment of acne scars.
IPL is useful in treating redness and thread veins that can be associated with acne but more commonly with acne Rosacea. Not all acne sufferers are suitable for or will benefit from laser treatment and often other concurrent treatments are necessary which can only be prescribed, hence the importance of having an initial clinical assessment by a doctor trained in expert skin assessment, such as a dermatologist, cannot be over-emphasised.
